It's Memorial Day Weekend. And for Anderson, SC, that means Freedom Weekend Aloft. Every year for the past 6, Anderson has hosted the festival of the balloons. There is music, food, rides, games, and multiple balloon launches all weekend long. I walked outside last night around 6:30pm to the sight of about 70 hot air balloons looming over my house... very close.
On Friday night, the concert (a good 2 miles away from my house), shook the walls until midnight. (that Marshall Tucker band goes on forever). Fortunately, the balloons are much quieter.
