So I may be the ultimate geek, but I'm ok with that (I'm a secure individual). And to prove it, here is a spoiler site with pictures of the upcoming Star Wars III movie. Do be warned, the pictures do spoil the movie a bit, but if you're like me (and I'm sorry if you are), you'll probably be watching the movie multiple times anyway and won't care.

I just want to interject briefly that my wife is awesome. First, her blog is a reflective and interesting read, and worthy of your time. Second, here is a recipe she has published in Cooking Light Magazine. Oh, and her birthday is tomorrow.

Not much for a Friday night, but I want you to know that I love Shilo. Be sure to watch Comserv under the experimental section. And expect a plethora of new work from the AV Club this week. We're launching our 5th anniversary celebration this coming weekend, and many cool animation pieces will follow. All I can say right now is there's a sports car theme, some footage was shot today, and our cameraman was 3 feet away from a Viper doing 150mph. Oh, and I'm scanning in a 4'x5' map of Houston. Why am I telling you this? Because it's Friday night. And you're visiting my blog. And because you just might care.

And they just keep pushing forward.
Apple announced today new iPod models are releasing. Here is an article from CNN with all the details. It looks like they're dropping the price of the iPod mini down to $199 for the 4Gb model, and adding a 6Gb model for $249. Keep driving the cost down, Apple.

Before I begin, let me state that the views expressed in the following post are not necessarily held by New Spring Community Church, it's employees, or its volunteers. The following video was created by an individual, and is broadcast to you solely for the purpose of generating laughter.

Thanks to tween for this one, Pilion has some mp3 mixes under his "DJing" category for download. I'm pulling down a few now and plan to give them a hardy listen.

An oldie but a goodie, but I'm very fond of TETSOO. Take the time to rifle through his motion work, and go ahead and load the Full Version of the site... it's worth it.

Typographica releases their favorite fonts of 2004 list. Neo Sans, the official font of New Spring, is number 9 on their list. Yeah for being cool.

For those of you with an iPod who want that cool, random feature offered in the iPod Shuffle, Flickr has your answer. Check out the mod here. Also, just for fun, if you're taking your Shuttle-sized PC out on the road, maybe you should consider this Ammo Case Mod. 100% geek tested and approved.

Two new official AV Club desktops for you, located at the top of this page. I'm fairly new at designing desktops, but let's consider these an excercise in trying something new... like making our own iPod ad. By the way, have you seen the pics below. Coming along nicely, if I do say so myself.

3772. What is that number significant? It isn't the Super Bowl score, nor was it the number of adoring fans circling Paul McCartney, holding lighters during "Hey Jude." 3772 is just 228 shy of 4000. 3772 is the highest attendence at a New Spring serice, and it happened yesterday. Yesterday was our record-high service, with all overflow rooms running at full capacity. It was awesome, and it's only 228 away from 4k. Praise God for allowing us to see Him at work.

Super Bowl number whatever is coming tomorrow, and I really could care less about who's playing... though you'd be surprised to hear that I know the Eagles are in the running (against who, I don't know, I don't care). As for the geek side of things, HowStuffWorks is offering an article about the most important part of the event, the commercials. At $2.5M per 30 second spot (10x that of a spot on "The Apprentice"), there should be something AVClub-worthy to talk about on Monday. Oh, and there's something about Riddick (uh, Vin Diesel) and a duck.

In design-geek news, my personal favorite hub, ComputerLove, is down for a bit. Media Temple is assisting getting their site back up soon, and in the meantime, they are offering their 2005 poster design contest. I guess I'll have to visit BD4D, K10K, Design is Kinky, Pixel Surgeon, and the countless other hubs until ComputerLove is back. Or spend less time on the web and more time designing something new. Or watch the new Stash 05 disk. It arrived this week.

Um, yeah, Joost at Renascent is up to it again. Yeah, he makes pretty things in 3D. Then he makes them either ugly, or metallic. Renascent does better 3D work than your grandmother, if that's saying anything. You need to watch the new one, Metamorph. It's all Renascent-gets-gold.
