The Chemical Brothers have so kindly released some remixed tracks on their site for download. They wisely suggest you use BitTorrent to download the free album.

From my friend James, formerly of Fellowship Church, currently of Reel FX... Tween's blog. Another like-minded motion graphics blogger with quite a nice feed of info. I'm adding this to my regular reads.

Check it, the Stash 05 reel is online. Can't wait for the mail to arrive. Watch it when you have 60 seconds of unblown mind to fill.

Google Video Search

Ok, so Google has officially blow my mind again. Drop in on Google Video Search and can search for phrases uttered DURING a TV BROADCAST. I suppose they're filtering in the closed-captioned data. I don't care how they do it, it is amazingly cool.

"Oh no," or is that "oh, yeah." Mercedes-Benz just released Mixed Tape 05 today. 15 fresh new tracks. So fresh, I haven't even heard them yet. They're downloading right now, and I'm sure I'll be digging into them later this week. They're only available for 8 weeks (free), and then they're gone.

Walk, don't run, to your nearest web browser (hey, you're already there) and download Google's Picasa 2. Digit Online news gives a quick run down.

Finally, at long last, here are a few projects from several weeks back.

1.) The Table (1.0 Mb, Quicktime) - Series opener for a message about the Lord's Supper.

2.) I Hope So (1.1 Mb, Quicktime) - Series opener for our Christmas Eve message.

3.) Enchurch (1.1 Mb, Quicktime) - current series opener, Enchurch describes New Spring's philosophy and why we exist. The "En" refers to the four tiers of our mission... Engage, Enable, Endure, and Enlarge. The concept was to show how these four seperate parts combine to form the whole church.

It's been a long time, but hopefully you'll enjoy these clips. Comments are always welcome.

Now I'm not one of those conspiracy-theorist types, but I really like the flash programming on THEY RULE.

OK, yeah, so I know what I'm getting Gardner for his birthday this year. Darth Tader will be the #1 thing on my shopping list.... ... .... Who am I kidding, I'm going to look for one of these tonight.

In a continual avalanche of Mac news, Digit has a few things to say about the recent Mac announcements, the iPod shuffle, the mini Mac, and the iLife 05 software suite... all released last week.

And for a further update, Mac Observer has a pretty in-depth and first user look at Apple's new iPod Shuffle, a 512Mb (or 1 Gb) flash-based iPod. Nice detail in the article, seeing as the little device was just announced a few hours ago. Oh, and I still want one.

In case you want to stay abreast of the hippest things in Germany, read this.. If you think its a song about a crocodile written by a 4-year-old, you'd be right. Visit here to download an mp3 of the song, as well as a few remix versions. You know how I love a good remix.

I don't know how useful this is, but Google Sets must have some purpose... they're just that interesting. Enter a few items that are related, and Google returns more items directly related to the items you enter. For example, I entered "Billy Corgan" and "James Iha," and Google Sets returned back the rest of the band members in the Smashing Pumpkins. OK, so I could find SOME use for this.

I know it's already past Christmas, but you simply must see Meg (my wife's) favorite ornament. It holds a very special place in our heart, and even has its own hook that's motorized... so that it rotates for all to see. Photo is here.

Digitalis included a great track on the Mercedes-Benz Mixed-Tape compilations, and upon some more web searching, I'm finding more of their sets available for download. One grouping is available here, and Subsource has a lot more sets out there. There's quite a lot of material to wade through.
